ABOUT US

Meet the Team
Nanni, a third-generation Thai Indian, and Jasmine, a third-generation Singaporean Chinese - bring together a unique blend of Thai, Indian, Singaporean and Chinese influences, shaped by their shared love of travel and years spent exploring Europe, the US, China, India and beyond.
Their different backgrounds and experiences give them a natural understanding of diverse cultures, people and perspectives, while their connection to Phuket keeps them rooted in the island they call home. Together, they bring a local heart with a global outlook — creating experiences that feel thoughtful, welcoming and genuinely personal.

The Island Editors
Creating
experiences and bringing
ideas to life
With a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a background spanning events, hospitality, property and content creation, I’ve always been drawn to creating experiences and bringing ideas to life.

My passion for events started early, from shadowing event coordinators since middle school to being the designated planner for friends and family. I later interned as an Events Coordinator at Marriott Hotel Bangkok and have since planned and styled private events across Phuket, including birthdays, bachelorettes, wedding proposals and celebrations at villas, restaurants and catamarans.

Working as a content creator has also shaped my creative and aesthetic eye, while my experience in F&B and property has given me a strong understanding of venues, vendors and the hospitality industry in Phuket.

I created The Island Edit to bring all of these experiences together and help turn your ideas into beautifully planned, memorable experiences.

It's about how thoughtfully something is done
I’ve always been a little bit of an all-rounder — curious, hands-on, and happiest when I’m making things happen. I started my career as a Singapore Airlines cabin crew, spending two years traveling the world and learning what great service looks like. Since then, I’ve opened and run three restobars across Singapore and Phuket over the last 10 years, before moving into events and making Phuket home.

After almost four years here, I’ve come to know the island beyond the postcard — the people, the businesses, the realities and, most importantly, the little things that make an experience truly special. I can enjoy the finest things Phuket has to offer just as happily as I can eat at a tiny local spot. For me, it’s never about the price. It’s about how thoughtfully something is done.

The Island Edit grew from that philosophy. My dear friend Nanni, a born-and-bred Phuketian, and I share a love for this island, years of experience in events, and a very hands-on approach. We’re perfectionists, problem-solvers and, somehow, very good at making things happen — without making it look like hard work.

As The Island Edit grows into Events, Catering, Home, Lifestyle and Properties, our goal is simple: to make every client feel genuinely looked after, every detail considered, and every cent spent completely worth it.
And, if we’ve done our job right, to leave you with a little more joy than you expected.
